Bizliners
By far the largest class of private jet, for those occasions when Long Range Jets simply can’t cut it, are VIP Airliners, more often known as “Bizliners” due to the type of entity that operate them most often.
As the name would imply, VIP Airliners are your everyday airliners (737, A350, 747 etc.) that have a factory private jet interior rather than the standard airline one, with the VIP interior often being designed and installed by a third party rather than the manufacturer.
Alternatively, the term can be used to describe any commercial airliner that has been turned into an executive transport aircraft. Former President Donald Trump’s Boeing 757-200 “Trump Force One” is perhaps the most famous example of this.
By far the largest and most expensive private jets on the market, Bizliners can be configured to transport anywhere from 13/19 to 200 passengers, depending on the needs of the operator.
Though it depends on the operator’s needs and the interior designer employed, Bizliners can include features like conference rooms, bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, a shower and even a spa/jacuzzi!
Sadly, however, this luxury does come at a price; one that often exceeds both the $100 and $200 million mark, meaning they can only be afforded by the world’s largest corporations or richest citizens.
The only other downside to their splendour is their size, which often restricts which airports they can land at.
Popular Bizliners include:
- Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) family
- Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) family
- Embraer Lineage 1000
- Donald Trump’s 757-200
