This is a trend that's continued to this very day, with literally thousands of aviation games available on a variety of platforms. Is Fractional Private Jet Ownership Worth it?

Over the last few years, fractional private jet ownership companies like Warren Buffett's NetJets and Kenn Ricci's Flexjet have seen a boom in demand. More people than ever before want to own their own slice of a private jet, and are willing to through the nose for it. Indeed, the average fractional private jet owner has a net worth of at least $250 million and spends an average $7.5 million acquiring their jet! So at that price, is it truly worth the cost? (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What is Fractional Private Jet Ownership? The idea of fractional aircraft ownership goes back to the beginning of aviation. When aircraft became available for people to purchase and fly recreationally, flying clubs began to form and brought pilots from all back...

Why Bombardier and Embraer can’t beat Airbus and Boeing…

Bombardier and Embraer are the little brothers to Airbus and Boeing. They admire and want to be like their older brothers, but seldom are. Many people talk about how Bombardier and Embraer can't beat Airbus and Boeing, but here's why... Bombardier and Embraer can't beat Airbus and Boeing because of their size. Bombardier is simply too small to compete with Airbus, and Embraer is simply too small to compete with Boeing. Instead of competing directly, they choose to make smaller aircraft, which don't compete with anything Airbus or Boeing make, and thus, Boeing and Airbus don't have any reason to try to consolidate with them or try to force them into bankruptcy. Often, Embraer and Boeing team up for joint ventures, such as the E-Jet family, the same can be said for Bombardier ...

Why I prefer private jets to commercial jets- as a pilot

You probably read the first half of the title and said "Really?! Of course you would! Most people prefer private jets to commercial jets! Who would've thought that?!" However, I mean this from a pilot's point of view, rather than a passenger's point of view. So, why exactly do I prefer private jets to commercial jets? Whilst private jets are far comfier than commercial jets, that is not the main reason pilots tend to prefer private jets to commercial jets. The real reason is their speed, uniqueness and elegance in the sky. I mean, when you hear someone yell "Oh look! It's a plane!" and it's just some old 737 or A350, yeah, that's old news. But, when someone yells "Oh look! It's a plane!" and it is an elegant G650, or a Lineage 1000, you probably stand there and go "Wow!" and then prece...

But now, many argue that we are in a new golden age of aviation. An aviation renaissance, if you will. But are we really in a new golden age of aviation? Whilst many who lived, and traveled during the (first) golden age of aviation, their answer would be unequivocally "No!" However, for many, especially those who never flew during the (first) golden age of aviation, the answer would be a resounding "Yes!" We spoke with 15 frequent fliers from both 'golden ages' of aviation. We asked about why they believe we are/aren't in a new golden age of aviation. In September, we covered the A380 in our Aircraft Digest series. In that article we talked about how Air France was planning to retire its A380 fleet. As of yet, there is no clear path that could be taken in regards to the future of retired A380s. What will likely happen to the retired A380s? A380 private jet, this is a likely outcome, simply due to the space that the A380 has. The 747 has become a staple of business aviation, just as, say, the G650 has. The A380 has already made for a great private jet, indeed one of the most luxurious in the world! I could quite easily see that the retired A380s could become priva...
