Why are airport queues getting so long?

Airport queues. The bane of travelers everywhere. Once, airport queues were very small, only being present when boarding an aircraft, now, you can expect up to four queues at the airport, for one journey! But that is not the issue... Many people have complained that the queues themselves are getting far longer, but is that entirely the case? Airport queues are indeed getting longer. As a collective, we are flying more, which means there are more flights in and out of airports. And airports cannot keep up with this increase in air travel, as they simply don't have the funding necessary. This leads to longer airport queues, whether at passport control, security, or physically boarding the aircraft! (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); How have airport queues g...

How does Christmas really affect the airline industry?

It is coming up to Christmas (if you couldn't work that out already from all the commercials and the supermarkets). When it comes to the holiday season, people tend to travel a lot, this can often be by aircraft, thanks to our increasingly global world. But how does this affect the airline industry as a whole? What is the language used by Air Traffic Control (ATC)? 5 main languages of the ATC…

Air Traffic Control (ATC) is the universal means of communication between pilots and the airports which they are using. But what is the language used by Air Traffic Control? By that, we mean, which of the many languages used throughout the world, are used by air traffic controllers? The language used by Air Traffic Control is quite simple: whichever the pilot chooses to use. Normally this is between English and whatever the language is of the place that they are flying to/from. Although English is the only official language. Take this for instance, an American pilot coming in to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle, would instigate the conversation in whichever language he was most comfortable using, whether that was French or English. The desire for an electric aircraft revealed

Ever since the Wright Brothers first flight in 1903. Aviation has fascinated us just a little bit more. Like Tesla with their electric cars. Those gas guzzling airplanes are not environmentally safe. Which is why we are in need of an electric aircraft manufacturer. That is the equivalent of Tesla. A Seattle-based firm called MagniX has developed a fully electronic motor. To be retrofitted to a seaplane. With the first test flight scheduled to be in November. The engines will also power a 9-seater Alice plane. Manufactured by Eviation. The Israeli based start-up aims to be delivering commercially by 2022.  (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); MagniX’s chief executive officer, Roei Ganzarski says “There’s only option is going to be electric propulsion.” MagniX ...
