An improved variant of the Falcon 7X, the Dassault Falcon 8X was designed to be Dassault’s most innovative corporate jet yet, and a replacement for its older Falcon models.
Introduced on October 5 2016, the Falcon 8X has proven surprisingly popular, with over 50 having been built to date and a backlog of orders that’ll keep Dassault busy for the next few years at the least!
Background
Founded by Marcel Dassault in 1929, Dassault Aviation entered the private jet world in the early 1960’s with their now-famed Falcon 20 jet – generally considered France’s first business jet.
Proving more successful than their previous non-military endeavors, Dassault spent the next four decades developing new private jets from the Falcon 20 and its derivatives, namely the Falcon 50 and Falcon 900.

Assuming you wanted to, and had the money to pay for it, the easiest way to acquire a Dassault Falcon 8X would be to acquire it brand new from Dassault, which would set you back roughly $59.3 million, making it one of the most expensive private jets on the market.
Yet $60 million isn’t exactly chump change – especially for a jet that depreciates by around 10% per year.
Whilst they are few and far between, it is possible to pick up a used Falcon 8X on the secondary market for a substantial discount. As much as 30 or 40% of their flyaway price for an older model!
Looking on the market currently, there are only three Falcon 8Xs for sale, all of which have price tags in the $45-50 million range, with their owners seemingly refusing to budge on the price for obvious reasons: you have no other option.
If you want a Falcon 8X specifically, you are going to have to pay these higher prices.
